Jacob Newcomer, Business Manager (Spring 2012)
Jacob is currently a third year student at UGA, pursuing a double major in Finance and International Affairs with a certificate in Personal and Organizational Leadership. During the summer of 2010, Jacob joined chief editor Ryan Prior in Stellenbosch, South Africa. They participated in memorable township work and enriching classroom discussion on economic development, specifically highlighting the developing nation of South Africa. This past summer, Jacob interned in the Finance and Accounting departments of the commercial and residential entry door company, The DH Pace Company, in Kansas City, Missouri. A member of the Student Managed Investment Fund at UGA, Jacob is passionate about investing and hopes to work in financial services with the goal of eventually starting his own financial advising practice. Jacob hopes to create a working budget that will allow GPR to have a successful initial inception and continue to grow in reach and breadth of coverage into the future. In his free time, Jacob enjoys playing soccer, running, and watching his favorite Liverpool FC soccer and Duke Blue Devils basketball teams.
