Virginia McNally, Associate Editor
Virginia is a junior from International Affairs major from Atlanta, GA. After first traveling to Zimbabwe in 2007 and participating in Model United Nations in High School, Virginia became interested in foreign affairs and international politics. Since then, she has returned to Zimbabwe twice and traveled to China, South Africa, and most recently Oxford University where she studied International Relations and African Studies. In Spring 2011 Virginia worked on a CURO project which included research done at UGA, in Zimbabwe, and at Oxford University. This research, focused on Robert Mugabe’s political mechanisms, deepened her interest in the development of Zimbabwe. Virginia hopes to learn more about economic development, possibly at business school, in order to work in the private sector to better the standard of living in underdeveloped countries.
