Sam Kinsman, Business Manager (Fall 2012), Associate Editor (Spring 2012)
Sam is a senior Finance and International Business major from Woodstock, GA also studying for minors in Spanish and Portuguese. On campus, he leads hiking and cycling trips for University of Georgia Outdoor Recreation and helps manage the $250,000 UGA Foundation student-run investment fund. From 2010-2012, he spent summers studying Spanish in Cádiz, Spain, studying Negotiation at the London School of Economics in the U.K, and interning with Moody’s Investor’s Service in New York. In 2013, Sam traveled to Brazil as a U.S. Portuguese Flagship Scholar to study and work in Brazil for 1 year. He worked as an intern in the Corporate Deals group of PwC’s consulting practice in São Paulo, and will join Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Division in New York in June.
When he is not writing for GPR, Sam takes every chance he can get to bike or run (on road or off) and has set a personal goal to hike and run marathons on every continent. He also enjoys reading, playing squash, and talking about ideas (even crazy ones) for new businesses. Sam plans to begin working in investment banking following graduation.
