Michael Land, Staff Writer
Michael Land is a junior, majoring in Genetics, Cellular Biology, and Spanish. His interests in politics include healthcare law, civil liberties, and the role of pacifism in foreign and domestic policy. He has studied abroad in both the United Kingdom and Peru, with a focus on medical issues each time. He plans to return to South America this summer, both to improve his Spanish and to have another opportunity to study the healthcare system in a developing country.
Michael plays the piano and saxophone, is a member of the Redcoat Marching Band, and is currently serving as the president of the Kappa Mu chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi, a band service fraternity. After finishing his undergraduate degrees, Michael plans to attend medical school and specialize in either surgery or emergency care. Outside of politics, Michael enjoys reading science fiction novels, camping, and playing Pokémon.
