Irina Plaks is a fourth year International Affairs and Russian major and Communication Studies minor. She is from Marietta, Georgia but was born in Moscow, Russia and moved to the United States when she was 2. Irina has interned with TradeSecure, UGA’s Center for International Trade and Security, and the National Defense Industrial Association in Washington D.C. and has a particular interest in national security, defense, international politics, and Russian affairs. In her spare time, Irina loves baking, reading the news, and doting on baby animal pictures.
