Brianne Cate, Staff Writer
Brianne Cate is a 4th year majoring in International Affairs. Aside from writing for GPR, she likes to frolic with children on a weekly basis (with Vibha, an academic bowl outreach program), is a research assistant under SPIA (studying demographic transition in North Asia), likes to get involved in whatever random volunteering opportunity crops up, and works on her fictional novel whenever she has free time. She is truly passionate about her major and the courses she is taking/will be taking, even though her future career goals don’t quite mesh with them. In August 2013, she will be departing on the grand, terrifying adventure that is the Peace Corps. Ten years from now, she hopes to be running a nonprofit school in a foreign country focused on empowering and inciting passion within disenfranchised children.
