Faiz Ali Saulat, Staff Writer
Faiz Saulat is a senior from Midway, GA. He is studying Biology at the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences with a pre-med intent. He is the co-founder of Shifa Clinic Athens, a free healthcare clinic in Athens, Ga. serving the uninsured. He was also a student researcher in the UGA College of Pharmacy’s muscular dystrophy lab. In addition to his love for science, medicine, and humanitarian work, he also has a passion for the field of journalism and public speaking. He has a particular interest in covering current events related to social justice, health, and Middle Eastern politics. He has served as a staff writer, editor, and director of operations for the Georgia Political Review and will also be presenting at the 2018 TEDxUGA Symposium on March 22nd in downtown Athens. In his free time he enjoys working out, poetry, and expanding his personal music library. He hopes to attend medical school and pursue his dream of being an emergency physician and a political journalist.
