Leighton Rowell, Staff Writer

Leighton is a sophomore from Sandy Springs, Georgia studying History, Portuguese, and French. She is particularly interested in education, equality, and local issues. Leighton is currently researching the social contexts behind films about race relations in the American South. She hopes to one day use her Portuguese to research diversity in Brazil, as well. Leighton is not entirely certain of her post-college path, but she would love to work in journalism, screenwriting, and education along the way. When she’s not procrastinating by watching Parks & Recreation, reading, or fantasizing about her future life, Leighton serves as an Honors teaching assistant and the SGA Outreach Manager.
